In my grief at the loss of the plane I had put so much work into… I made an extra trip to the hobby store this weekend and picked up a new plane. It’s called the Sundowner 50. It’s a new style of plane to me, this “pylon racer” type is built for SPEED. It should be interesting, as people have clocked this baby in at over 130mph straight-line. Clearly, due to my previous loss… I opted for an ARF (”Almost Ready to Fly”) kit, instead of a full-build kit, so I got it prepped in a weekend.
It can chamber all of the still-working guts from my Extra 300, and put them to good use in a new kind of flying. It should be exciting, and it’s pretty much ready to go. Another $150, but I refuse to be defeated by this!

Seriously….I like it son! There are those that crash and burn and never get up, and then those like yourself that crash and saddle up again in a 10x faster plane. NICE WORK! Cool plane…
